Corona Virus Notice

COVID – 19

The well-being of our clients and staff is important to us. If you have a booking with Eyemedics, we kindly request you read the following regarding our Covid safe practices and requirements for adults and children. We would like to assure you that we have rigorous safety protocols in place to minimise risk. Our focus is to continue supporting our community for as long as possible.

Each patient and caregiver is now required by law to wear a surgical mask and we ask that you bring and wear your own - a cloth mask is unfortunately not acceptable. We would also appreciate your support in helping us maintain social distancing in our waiting rooms. If you are not the patient and it is not necessary for you to remain, we may ask you to leave the premises.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes early for your appointment, we will ask you to leave and return no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your appointment.

Eyemedics is complying with the new SA Health directive regarding mask-wearing, check-in, and having a covid safe plan.

We now require all patients to reveal your covid vaccination status. This can be either from your smart phone or a printed copy. We will continue to ask that you use our QR code check in or manual entry on arrival to ensure we meet SA Health contact tracing regulations. Our reception team can help you through this process.

As from 23.11.21 we will be screening all patients on entry for Covid symptoms.  If you have any Covid-19 symptoms you will be required to reschedule your appointment.

Restrictions will be in place for all care givers attending with our patients. Care givers will only be allowed to stay with the patient if the patient is unable to communicate with our staff and doctors. Only one care giver will be allowed to attend and they MUST be fully vaccinated against Covid 19. If this is not possible we may need to move your appointment to accommodate the Unvaccinated status.

Please refer to this website prior to your appointment to see if any updates have been made. You may call us any time between 8am - 5pm if you have any questions or concerns around these changes.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes early for your appointment, we will ask you to leave and return no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your appointment.

As from Monday 6th January.

Eyemedics has introduced a strict entry policy into all of our locations, please read below:
