Dr Jern Yee Chen is an Ophthalmologist trained to the high standards of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology. She is caring and compassionate, always striving to deliver the best care possible for her patients.

Previously

Dr Chen grew up in Adelaide and obtained her medical degree from the University of Adelaide Medical School. She completed her Ophthalmology training in New Zealand then undertook advanced surgical training at numerous centres of excellence around the world: the St Paul’s Eye Unit in the United Kingdom, the Storm Eye Institute in the United States of America and the Singapore National Eye Centre in Singapore.

Research and Teaching

Dr Chen has research interests in corneal transplantation, infectious keratitis and keratoconus treatment. She has published in numerous peer-reviewed local and international journals.

Dr Chen enjoys teaching medical students, ophthalmology trainees and optometrists. She believes in educating patients so they have a better understanding of their eye condition.
